The Project Snapshot

Set against the striking modern architecture of a Bear Mountain residence with breathtaking views, the Pinehurst Terrace project demanded a landscape worthy of its surroundings. The team at Veenstra Consulting was tasked with transforming a rough, uninspired patch of builder-grade grass into a profound, highly structured front elevation. Our approach prioritized high-impact curb appeal and low-maintenance durability, establishing a clean, geometric foundation that immediately grounds the home and creates a sophisticated arrival experience.

Veenstra Consulting executed a comprehensive site overhaul beginning with complete turf removal and precision grading. We integrated heavy natural rock placement alongside a sweeping dry riverbed, specifically engineered to efficiently manage heavy West Coast runoff while serving as a bold architectural anchor. To soften the structural stonework, our crews installed an extensive planting plan featuring structured boxwood hedges, tiered ornamental shrubs like pink rhododendrons, and a spectacular specimen Japanese Maple. Finished with a heavy lay of rich dark mulch for moisture control and high visual contrast, the resulting landscape delivers immediate maturity and enduring elegance.
