Veenstra Consulting is a full-spectrum landscaping and outdoor construction firm serving Vancouver Island’s South and Central regions. We specialize in high-impact, detail-rich hardscaping and landscaping projects that elevate schools, municipalities, multi-unit developments, and private homes. Calvin Veenstra, Founder & Project Lead

With 30+ years in the industry and decades of boots-on-the-ground experience, Calvin leads with precision and pragmatism. He’s often the first on site and the last to leave, personally overseeing the details, setting the tone, and holding the standard.

Our Story

Calvin Veenstra grew up learning landscaping firsthand — side-by-side with his father, digging trenches and shaping landscapes before the age of 10. He founded Mammoth Landscaping in his early 20s, building it into a team of 40, but found the scale compromised efficiency and results.

In 2013, Calvin started fresh, launching Veenstra Consulting with the goal of doing it better. Smaller team. Sharper workflows. Stronger results. The kind of business where every detail counts and every job matters. Today, Veenstra blends hands-on craftsmanship with adaptive design thinking, balancing form, function, and natural fit in every space we shape.
